Sigh, today is our last day in Italy and I am very sad for it all to end.  Doris, Jessica and I head down to breakfast and met up with the others for breakfast.

At 9:30am we say goodbye to those leaving for home either via Munich or London.  Hugs all around and now we are only 5, our group is dwindling.

Gail, Dave, Jessica and I walk towards the Tower and make our way towards the old centre of Pisa.  We found some nice shops and had a little shopping frenzy which made us all very happy.  As we got closer to the Stazione Centrale, we had lunch and coffee.

Too soon it is time to say goodbye to Jessica.  It was so wonderful that she was able to come to see us, even though it was such a shot visit – amazing what you can do in a 24 hour period!  We waited on the platform and waived as her train slowly pulled away from the station.  Another pull at the heart strings as we leave.

Making our way back to the hotel we retrace our steps though the streets of Pisa, a gorgeous little city!  We did some last minute shopping and now to repackage and make room for the purchases.  That done, we have enough time to relax with a glass of wine before Gail & Dave leave for their flight to London.

Once the taxi arrives, Gail & I both have huge tears in eyes, too many goodbyes in one day!  It has just been so special to have some of my family with me on this trip and it is so sad to see them all go.  And now there are only three.

The balance of my afternoon was spent relaxing and preparing for my long journey tomorrow.

Now it is my turn to leave Pisa and home.  Mary Lou and Diane are here with me and we share a cab together to the airport.  Once through security we have our last Italian cappuccino and head to our respective gates.  My 12:40 flight was delayed by an hour, however still made it in plenty of time to catch my flight home from Heathrow.  Spent the flight watching movies and just relaxing.
